The FDI Arbitration Moot Court Competition 2025 (Pakistan Rounds) brought together aspiring legal professionals, practitioners, and leading experts in a dynamic showcase of advocacy, intellect, and international arbitration practice.
Opening Ceremony
The competition commenced with an inspiring opening ceremony, graced by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Senior Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, as Chief Guest. His keynote address highlighted the importance of innovation, integrity, and the evolving role of law in advancing justice.
The ceremony also welcomed participation from the Federal Judicial Academy and featured a message from International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, connecting the national rounds to the global arbitration landscape.
Preliminary Rounds
Day 01 set a high standard, with teams engaging in both in-person and live online hearings before distinguished international arbitrators, including ICSID experts, judges, and practitioners.
Day 02 saw an even stronger display of advocacy, as participants returned with refined arguments, strategic depth, and greater confidence. The rounds were marked by rigorous questioning, analytical reasoning, and high-quality submissions—reflecting the realities of international arbitration practice.
Social Engagement
The competition also featured a dedicated Social Night, providing participants, adjudicators, and guests an opportunity to connect beyond the courtroom. The event fostered meaningful engagement, collaboration, and professional networking—an essential component of the moot experience.
Final Rounds
The Finale brought together the top-performing teams in a highly competitive setting. Before a panel of distinguished arbitrators, participants demonstrated exceptional advocacy skills, delivering compelling arguments and strategic rebuttals that captured the essence of international arbitration.
Closing Ceremony
The competition concluded with a formal closing ceremony celebrating excellence, dedication, and achievement. Awards were presented to outstanding teams and individuals, recognising their performance and commitment throughout the competition.
