As part of the 2023/2024 ICC Arbitration Academy for Asia, participants had the opportunity to visit the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC).
During the visit, Assistant Registrar James Low delivered an insightful presentation on the role and framework of the SICC, highlighting its advantages as a forum for resolving complex cross-border commercial disputes. The session provided valuable perspectives on procedural flexibility, international enforceability, and the court’s ability to effectively handle disputes involving international parties.
This engagement formed an important part of the Academy’s practical learning experience, offering participants, including Dr. Nudrat E. Piracha, first-hand exposure to leading international dispute resolution institutions and practices.
