The Weinstein International Foundation (WIF) has announced the first-place winners of its 2023 International Mediation Writing Competition, an annual global initiative designed to enhance practical mediation advocacy skills among law students.
Each year, students from selected countries are invited to prepare and submit a mediation memorandum on behalf of a client engaged in a simulated mediated dispute. The competition, conceptualised by WIF Board Member and Competition Chair Jay Welsh, is recognised as a pioneering initiative in mediation education.
WIF extended its appreciation to its Senior Fellows for their support in the program, including Dr. Nudrat E. Piracha (ICADRP), along with Ximena Carolina Bustamante Vasconez, Sherif Elnegahy, Mariana Freitas de Souza, Constantin-Adi Gârvă, Nuria González-Martín, Tat Lim, Fernando Navarro Sánchez, and Dr. Giorgi Tsertsvadze. Special acknowledgement was also given to the Student Competition Coordinators who contributed to the successful organisation of the initiative.
Pakistan Achievement:
Representing Pakistan, Iqra Khalid secured First Place in the competition, marking a notable achievement in international mediation advocacy.
ICADRP congratulates all participants and celebrates this accomplishment as part of its continued commitment to strengthening mediation skills and supporting emerging practitioners in the field of dispute resolution.
